Toshiba is shipping the Excite 13, which runs on Google’s Android 4.0 operating system, with a stand that will relieve owners from having to hold, or prop up, the large device themselves. And despite being bigger than pretty much every other competing tablet on the market, the Excite 13 is fairly thin and light for its size, noting that it will weigh 2.2 pounds only and measure 0.4 inches thick.

As already mentioned the tablet will be running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS right out of the box. It encapsulates a massive 13.3-inch AutoBrite LED Backlit display with 1600 x 900 pixels of resolution & 16:9 aspect ratio. You also get a 4 speaker sound system with exclusive sound enhancement for even better music experience.
At the back of Excite 13 You got a 5 megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash and 2592 x 1944 pixels resolution and at the front there is a 1.3 megapixel camera for video calls. Other bells and whistles include micro USB 2.0, micro HDMI port, 32GB or 64GB internal memory storage, a full-size SD card for memory expansion up to 32GB, 13 hours of battery life, 7 days of standby time, access to Google Play Store, support for Nvidia Tegra Zone, a whole host of the Google services and all the regular features of an Android tablet.
The Excite 13 sits at the top of a revamped tablet line for Toshiba, in terms of both price and screen size with a price tag of $649.99 for the 32GB model, and $749.99 for the 64GB model.
