Good news for those who own the Motorola XOOM WiFi tablet. Google announced last week that it had begun rolling out an Android 4.0.4 upgrade to certain models of the Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus along with the Wi-Fi variant of the Motorola Xoom. In January Motorola Xoom also got Ice Cream Sandwich Update.
Android Community is reporting that the Xoom WiFi OTA update is being received by the bulk of the users. The new version of ICS brings smoother screen rotation among others, camera enhancements, plus a bunch of other tweaks.
If the update notification hasn’t popped up for you yet, you can it manually from settings > about tablet > check for updates.Unfortunately there’s still no word on when 3G or LTE variants of the device will be getting their updates.
Just like with handsets the XOOM’s update brings general feature improvements and stability to Ice Cream Sandwich. You’ll have faster screen rotation, better camera support and capabilities, MS Exchange improvements and general performance stability and increases.
After this update now question is, when the Verizon XOOM and XYBOARD tablets getting ICS?
