ASUS Transformer Pad 300 has been launched Today.The tablet has running with Google’s Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.Shown off at MWC 2012, the product is now available, starting $379 for the 16GB version and the price goes to $399 for the 32GB. Last week Asus has confirmed its shipping start to US.
The tablet has a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 IPS screen, Google’s Android 4.0 operating system and a quad-core Tegra 3 processor from Nvidia running at a clock speed of 1.2GHz and features an 8MP camera. ASUS claims that the tablet has battery life of up to 10 hours per charge. One of the main features of the Transformer Pad 300 – and previous ASUS tablets — is an optional keyboard dock.The keyboard dock can be had for an additional $149.Not only will that keyboard dock allow the user to type more comfortably, it also extends the runtime by an additional five hours.The dock has Android-specific buttons for quick access to tablet functions, and also USB 2.0 and SD card slots.
The tablet comes in three colors, with the blue one being the first out the door. The white and red variants will begin shipping at a later date.
